Water sports include fishing, river rafting, canoeing and swimming. Land lovers can golf, ride snowmobiles, take a buggy ride through the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, and enjoy our close access to the North Country Hiking Trail. The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, winner of Good Morning America’s 2011 contest for “The Most Beautiful Place in America,” offers camping, hiking and magnificent scenery. Morton’s is just over an hour from Grand Rapids, Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula; 30 minutes from Big Rapids, home to the Ferris State University campus.

Museums and historic sites include White Pine Village, Shrine of the Pines and Meijer Gardens.
